Carefor-Nursing Clinic

Carefor will hold a free Nursing Clinic from 11:00am -3:00pm on May 16th at the Agape Centre-40 5th street west . A registered nurse will be available to give general health counselling, check blood pressures, screen for diabetes and cholesterol, and offer information on pregnancy and baby care. The nurse is also available to make referrals to othe community agencies or programs if desired. For more information call the Agape Centre at 938-9297.

Wildcats Flag Football Registration

Wildcats Flag Football Registration Has the Flag Football Registration ( co-ed league)which runs June 1st to mid July. Benefit Dance (Support Relay for Life)

The Army and Navy Air Force Club will be holding a benefit dance in support to fight cancer and support Relay for life on Sunday May 18th from 2-6 at the Army and Navy at 14 Marlborough St. There will be a spaghetti supper to follow at 6pm. Tickets are $5.00 per person with a live band as well as donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds to support Relay for Life Cancer Crusher team-the Dions in Maxville June 6th. Fundraising Bingo

The Lancaster Optimist Club is sponsoring the 4:00 pm Bingo at the Cornwall Bingo Center located at 26 2nd Street West. All funds raised are used to run the youth programs in the community and local schools. Come and join the fun! Everyone welcome!

A Time to Remember is a presentation by Lyle Van Allen on the building of the Seaway 50 years ago and its impact on the affected communities. This event is on May 21st at St. Matthew's Church 1509 Second St. West. Starlight Film Festival

United Way/Success by 6 in partnerhsip with Galaxy Cinemas Cornwall, Presents an all-night event for area high school students. This will be on May 23 at 12 midnight to 7:30 am at the Galaxy Cinemas. Tickets are $20.00 each and include all-night movies, games and music in addition to unlimited pop and popcorn. Tag Day /Boys and Girls Club

Rotary Club members from both the Cornwall and the Sunrise Rotary Club will be accepting donations from 10am to4pm Saturday May 24th in support of the Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall at Maynards, Food Basic, Loeb's, Giant tiger and Wal-Mart. Each person who contributes will receive a smiley face to proudly wear that day showing their support for this important communtiy organization.
