Mom was Right!

Your mother was right – real beauty begins on the inside.  We all know the basics – eat your veggies, drink your milk, add lean meat and fish to your diet, and exercise often.   And always – water, and lots of it.  Dark vegetables and bright vegetables are key – they provide more vitamins than paler counterparts, and a delicious crunch and flavour to each meal.  Eaten raw, cooked into a stew or soup, or served as a side dish, vegetables pack a powerful punch.  Lean red meat provides iron, which helps to carry oxygen and zinc through your body.  Fish give you omega 3 and vitamin b. Dairy like milk and cheese provide calcium and so much more.  So when you’re off at the grocery store and the market, remember what Mom taught you – and make healthy choices.
