Corus Cares Food Drive in support of Agape Centre

Have you ever known what it’s like to go hungry? You’d be surprised how often it happens in Cornwall and who it happens to. Corus Entertaiment and Alexander Auto, present the Corus Cares Christmas Food Drive in support of the Agape Centre, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. When you see a giant soup can at a local grocery store or business – please give generously. Giant Soup Cans are now located at Schnitzel's, Teleperformance, Angel Whispers Consulting, Justin's No Frills, Iona Academy, Maynard's Y.I.G., Food Basic, Sabic Innovative Plastics (Logn Sault), Loeb, Farm Boy and Corus Entertainment. There is a free nursing clinic on Friday November 21 from 11am to 3pm at the Agape Centre, 40 - 5Th Street West. A registered nurse will be available to give general health counselling, check blood pressure, screen for diabetes and cholestrol,offer information on pregnancy and baby care, and make referrals to other community agencies or programs if desired. The Downtown Business Improvement Area is proud to once again host the Home for the Holidays Christmas House Tour. The tour will take place on Wednesday, November 26 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Seaway Winds Concert Band Christmas Concert takes place in Nativity Co-Cathedral at 7:30pm Friday December 5. St Joseph's Villa Lights of Hope provides funds to enhance care programs and to provide specialized equipment fot the comfort of seniro residents and those with special needs.
